SEEL is pleased to announce the promotion of Patrice Suggs and Charles Newborn. Patrice is now Senior Manager of Strategy and Launch and Newborn now serves as Regional Manager.
Formerly the Launch Manager, Patrice was responsible for coordinating the launch and implementation of each new program. Now in a senior role, her position has been expanded to manage both Launch and SEEL's Strategy function.
Patrice earned her Bachelor of Science degree from
Eastern Michigan University. She has a background in Program Management and Outreach with a special knack for nurturing the customer relationship and experience. She believes in teamwork and promoting collaboration to bring about the best possible results.
She is also a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated, African American and Blacks in Energy (AABE), serves as a board member of the Detroit Youth Choir and holds a Six Sigma Yellow Belt Certification.

With more than 11 years of experience in energy retrofits, project management and utility demand side program implementation, Charles is committed to equity in access to energy efficiency. Formerly program manager at SEEL, in his new role, Charles will support and manage the company's utility energy efficiency programs by providing strategic leadership, operational innovations, and administrative support to SEEL team members in Indiana, Kentucky, Illinois, and Mississippi.
Charles holds certifications from the Building Performance Institute and the Residential Energy Services Network. He has completed Commercial Energy Auditor, Spray Foam Technician, Weatherization Crew Chief, and Lead Safe Renovator trainings.
Originally from Birmingham, Alabama, Charles enjoys reading and playing guitar in his leisure time.
